Good News!

Our S1200 folding and hinge door has received its first nomination before it has even been premiered at the IMM 2018 show. It is among the nominees for the “Stylepark Selected imm cologne 2018” award. The prestigious online platform for high-end architectural and design products will be showcasing 20 hand-picked new products debuting at the interiors trade fair in a spectacular exhibition that can be seen at the downtown Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln (MAKK), near the cathedral, from January 15. If you don’t want to wait that long, the 40 nominees on the long list, including our folding and hinge door, can be viewed now in the Stylepark picture gallery (www.stylepark.com). The suspense will, however, last until January 11, on which date Stylepark will announce the short list of its 20 favorites chosen to receive the award and be included in the MAKK show. We are putting our money on our newcomer, that you can, of course, also see and test at our booth in Hall 11.3 SO 51 from January 15 through 21, 2018. If that’s not good news, what is?

 Climate Protection Certificate

The greatest possible degree of product protection while putting the least possible strain on the environment – this is our mission when it comes to packaging. That this strategy is producing results has now been confirmed by Interseroh GmbH, the company that recycles our transport packaging for us.
Based on an in-depth study by the prestigious Fraunhofer UMSICHT Institute on the reduction of greenhouse gases Inteseroh has established that our recycling efforts last year resulted in a 26,647.80 kilogram reduction in greenhouses gases. This is equivalent to the average CO² emissions of a car driving 180,000 kilometers. The raw materials that we have recycled join what is known as the materials flow, thus not only avoiding unnecessary CO² emissions but also saving an additional almost 36,000 kg of resources. We view the corresponding “2012 Climate Protection Certificate” that has been issued to us as both a confirmation of our activities in this field and a motivation to continue and expand them. We invite all our partners and business contacts to join us in these efforts.

Just the greatest

Our new IMA Novimat edge banding machine is in a class of its own in every regard. Manufactured by IMA Klessmann, based in Lübbecke in East Westphalia/Germany, it proudly bears the “Made in Germany” label of quality, just like our own products. In order to be able to house the six metric tonnes heavy, 9.5 meter long giant we had to move a special production workshop wall in our manufacturing area. A 70-tonne crane then used all its massive strength to lift the machine into place in its new home. The IMA is now fitting our systems with water-resistant edging using PU adhesive to do so – and achieving a top performance of up to 30 running meters per minute. This ensures that our products are perfect for use in kitchens and bathrooms as well as also for overseas export to countries with difficult climatic conditions such as high humidity. So, after successfully surviving this strenuous installation work we can now settle down to enjoy our heavy-weight, technically high-achieving new addition which is just the greatest!
